Men's New Life Discipleship Program

Often, men come to United Gospel Rescue Mission seeking nothing but a bed for the night and a hot meal. “We’re just passing through,” they may tell us. But then something—or Someone—leads them to ask for long-term help. The kind of help that transforms lives for good!

For those seeking recovery from addiction or other life-dominating barriers to success, we offer our New Life Discipleship Program at the Kay Porter House.  Around 25 residents are in this life-changing program at any given time, working together to grow in Christ and find victory through Him.

At United Gospel Rescue Mission, we believe that living and growing together is vital to becoming disciples of Christ. Our New Life Discipleship Program uses a biblical approach with the understanding that everything a man needs is in the Scriptures. We believe that change comes when men immerse themselves in God's Word. This includes focusing on verses that apply to their lives through reading, studying, and journaling. Men also show respect for the ministry, and for one another, by completing work assignments and following a structured routine each day. The program is free to our residents, thanks to the compassionate generosity of our donors. of Christ.
