Materials & Food
UGRM appreciates your gifts of food, and gently used and new items! Here are the many ways we use your donations. For a current list of our greatest needs, visit our Facebook page.
Bike to the Future: Residents in our New Life Discipleship Program can earn a bicycle to use throughout his stay at the Mission and after graduation. Our residents clean, repair and maintain each bike, then use it to get to assigned task areas, doctor appointments, employment interviews and other activities.
Clothing and household goods: UGRM uses many of your donations to provide necessities for low-income men, women and children in SEMO through Christian Social Services, to help men in our programs and to provide for men moving into independent living after graduation. Items we do not give away go into our Thrift Store where individuals in our community find great bargains. Funds from the Thrift Store make up 75 percent of our general fund each year!
Food: Your donations of food provide meals in our dining hall, and to distribute to our community. Through your partnership, local businesses and the USDA, the Mission provides more than 60,000 meals each year!
